taken from the second "ravish" session of january 22, 2017, this is the first of several solo pieces, most of which are entirely live. this particular track, as with "on the brink of euphoria", is made up of two tracks: "waiting" is a short excerpt from a live improv featuring clean lead guitar over a "ravish" "freeze"; while the second half is a take made with the energy bow, which I wanted to capture at least in part.

so the two partial tracks, became one single track, and I think the junction of the two pieces makes a lot of sense, if you just close your eyes and listen, you would probably never realise that there was ever a "break" in between the two songs - it sounds like I play an instrumental picked introduction, on clean electric guitar, followed by a longer improv involving the energy bow. I really like the result, I think it's a good combination - and it makes good use of two songs that might have otherwise, been left behind on the wayside - I am always happy when I can reunite them - and this particular experiment, although it took some work in the studio, was very much worth it - an interesting piece.
