emboldened by the success of tracks like "a solemn stillness", where instead of blending a number of different geosonics samples, I would take a number of instances (in this case, just two) and bend them into a song - and "the whispering well" might be the best example of this yet, a bespoke MIDI sequence was played "live" driving one instance of "the whispering well", then, a second instance, shifted in time by a pre-determined amount, was added by simply copying the sequence into another track which was also driving an instance of "the whispering well", and moving it's start point a short distance past the start point of the first instance.

what this gives you is the most primitive kind of "eno long delay system" and in the case of these beautiful geosonics voices, the interesting juxtapositions and repetitions you get with just one added set of voices, is absolutely lovely - and again, sometimes sticking with a purer input, will in the end, create a more beautiful output - as long as you take care with all of the elements.

I personally find "the whispering well" to be one of the most beautiful geosonics creations I've heard to date, although I am sure that the instrument is capable of so very much more...
