probably the last piece I recorded during 2014, "sunrise (heralds the dawn)" features one of the beautiful recreations of period instruments from the "conservatoire collection" and I was very eager to try out the baroque guitar - and this little piece, which reminded me of so many mornings, early morning, with the banners flying and so on...

it seemed like a tiny introduction to something else, and I didn't really know what that was, until track 28 came along in April, 2015 - which means then that "dawn (heralds the morning)" has now taken it's place as the musical "herald" of the arrival of "canticum aeternam" - the two belong together, and I am so glad that the latter arrived when it did - the perfect companion or rather, the "song" that this is the "intro" to - if you see what I mean.
