the debut of both the remarkable "x-bows" tool from native instruments, and of course, featuring the reason I wanted it: the gizmotron. after decades of wanting one, I finally have one - but it is the virtual, sample kind. but - still, an incredible joy to be handling the actual sounds of Godley & Creme's legendary guitar invention. I have always, always loved the sound that this remarkable invention creates, when you attach it to an electric guitar - there is nothing quite like it, really.

it's as if you had an ebow on all six strings of the guitar at once - not practical with the ebow, really - and having that ability to "ebow chords" was one thing that made the gizmotron (or the "gizmo" as I know and remember it) so memorable on so many important recordings by 10cc, Godley & Creme, Phil Manzanera, and many, many others.

I love that sound, and I cannot wait to do more work with these brilliant samples, and begin too, to include them in some larger compositions.
