with an incredibly diverse set of musical ingredients, everything from jazz flute riffs to african percussion, I somehow managed to create the track that is "stone age ritual". as is often the case, I have no idea how I actually did that - generally, I suppose, it would happen like any normal song - some drums first or some kind of rhythm that I could play against, and then all the other "normal" elements - bass, guitars, synths or some combination of some sub-set of these. I do like the jazz flute samples, each one tackier and more predictable than the last, but somehow, with just the right amount of echo and reverb - they work beautifully to provide a little bit of a melodic counterpoint for the song.

this kind of track is where you can just get really creative, pretty much anything goes - except, having said that, I have rules - and in fact, I am trying to recall what those might have been for this track (if any were employed, in fact!) - certain things get done certain ways, and so on. in any case - I hope you enjoy this "stone age ritual"...
