the final take of the september 3rd, 2017 session, the epic "prometheus at perhelion" is very much a piece of science fiction set to music, it sounds to me like an entire sci-fi movie crammed into one six minute and 43 second shell - full of power, foreboding, and the mysteries of space, aliens and the universe itself.

a fitting end piece for a truly interesting set of ipad duets, featuring one of my very favourite applications, the remarkable TC-11. you should try it out - it is enormously enjoyable to work with. and given that you are only hearing a very, very few of it's patches here, in even fewer combinations, you could imagine the nearly limitless possibilities working with a non-standard musical instrument like TC-11 can be - very possibly nearly endless - a near infinity of musical possibilities,

by combining different voicings across the two ipads - there is a very, very large quantity of possible combinations, not to mention the variable of what the synthesist decides to play during the performances.

this is a really nice way to spend a day, in the company of a genius application that can create almost to order, music of a nearly limitless variety, scope and individuality - unique music - TC-11 music.

I am happy to be one of the musicians who gets to be a player of this fine application - and I believe that if you start working with it yourself, you will very soon find that having just one is never enough - and the creative possibilities that are brought to the table by the presence of two iterations of TC-11 (working sonically in "double stereo" too...) across two platforms - this is a set of possibilities, this brings a creative environment - that I find it very joyful indeed to work within.
