one of the longest fairlight sequences I've ever done, to date; at just under four and a half minutes, I really wanted some dramatic tension to build, and using some simple percussion and other very odd samples, including an ominous drum roll, I believe I have succeeded - and this is possibly the first piece that really made me see just what can be done with this remarkable instrument. the piece is also nearly symmetrical, a process I often use in later fairlight compositions, it would be perfectly so, except for my strange desire to have seventeen iterations of pattern 1 at the end of the song, instead of four iterations as in the beginning of the piece.

the buildup of volume is also unique, and in fact, this piece was meticulously planned from the almost overbearing central/symmetrical musical structure, right down to those final 17 bars of finger cymbal (again, custom “tuned”), whispian, and waterphone. with just over two weeks’ experience with the application, already at this point, the pieces are becoming quite well-thought-out, and are, at the same time, also becoming reasonably complex.
