I am absolutely really hitting my stride here with this particular performance, the longest of the four live takes clocking in at just over 9 minutes, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the experience.

using the "borderlands" application is intuitive for me, and I feel strangely confident with it - I can go for months without playing it, and then pick it up and make it sound nice. here, I work through various moods, this "longest version" really gives me time to stretch out and try some varying techniques, I really love the way the "voices" sample works in with the "music" samples, it can be a real surprise when it suddenly appears but I think in this instance I was able to weave it into the composition without a lot of effort.

I love the endless ways you can alter events in the interface, I love to stack up two or three waveforms and then set a generator on top of all three, with perhaps, just a corner touching each - so you are getting a tiny section, of a wav - three different wavs. or, stacking the wav files on top of each other, and then setting the generator on the combined "stack" of wav files - that can be intense.

I think what is more difficult with "borderlands", is playing quietly, which is why I am always pleased when I do a good, long fade in or out, or I step back a bit during performance to provide quieter passages. It's an amazing tool to use - I am really enjoying it.
