number six, "ice planet iapetus" is a 7:06 journey into another very distinctive pair of TC-11 voicings, this time, I am using the very unusual "unlugar" paired with "launch pad" and again, I surprised myself...

...in that, the time just flew past, it seemed like just a moment or two had passed, when in fact, this is a long and intricate exploration of TC-11 textures and sounds - an incredibly capable instrument which can evoke atmospheres both calm and serene, or intense and chaotic - not unlike our solar system itself.

I could quite happily weave melodies and harmonies with this app all day long, it's a remarkable and unique musical tool, and I think it's a very expressive one - with a very unusual method of input, of course - TC-11 is one very good example of when iPad technology is put to a truly good use - using the environment to change the rules of the game, and to make synthesizer passages possible that you could not perform on an ordinary keyboard.

that is possibly why it appeals to me - because unusual things can, and do, happen all the time, when you work with this amazing application.
