this track continues the exploration of geosonics as I move through other voices and ideas, and creating long form elemental ambient pieces has become a satisfying process indeed at this point in my development with geosonics.

I think it's the true organic nature that's almost always to the fore in almost every single geosonics sound, the insect noises, the bird calls, the other background noises that give each preset such unique and wonderful characters.

"the reveal" is no exception to this, it's a gorgeous voice, and so in a case like this, as anything more would be overkill, just one pass of the hands over a single instance of "the reveal" gives us the track bearing the same name.

this one is another beauty, I've been very pleasantly surprised at just how very suitable geosonics is for ambient music, but I probably shouldn't be surprised, when have the natural sounds of the earth had anything but a mainly therapeutic effect on most human beings?

I am very much enjoying the quiet, the stillness, and particularly the uncanny suitability for ambient music - a very fortunate break for me. As I have never been one to insert a lot of sort of, new age-y "animal sounds" or chirping crickets into my work (I can count the number of times I've done so on one hand probably) it's wonderful now to indulge in them, because the way that Chris Watson has recorded them, and that soniccouture has incorporated them into their voices...it takes the guesswork out, you ***know*** you will get good sounding, real creatures if you are using a geosonics sound!

you can't really go wrong. sometimes, the juxtapositions and repetitions don't occur where you might think they should, but that's part of the surprise - it just happens, and just about anything can happen in a longer track such as this one. I love the layered birds and insects in this piece - I find them to be very soothing.

geosonics is a world class instrument and I am so, so glad that we have it available now to work with, and over time, I will be adding more tracks to the geosonics catalogue as often as I am able to - what an extraordinarily beautiful software package, capable of extreme natural and enhanced beauty - it wins for me on every score.
