this is a live performance, and this is a direct digital copy of the original piece, no editing, overdubs, or treatments of any kind were applied to the track - this is how it happened.

they say that lightning doesn't strike three times in the same place, or some similar superstitious nonsense, but in this case, for some unknown reason I was just in the "iVCS3 zone" - a third completely live improv came out requiring no edits, no overdubs, no reverb, no treatments - the third such song in a row - which fot me, has to be some kind of record.

although not as remarkably lengthy as it's two predecessors, "timbre", and "synthesized joy", nevertheless, "first contact", which clocks in at a modest 5:05, is every bit the musical gift that those two aforementioned tracks were.

again, I am playing with parameters rather than the keyboard, again, I am focussed on rhythmic variations, and once again, I sat open-mouthed as yet another amazing drone poured from the brain of the iVCS3.

a perfect way to end the april 11, 2014 session, and I really, truly enjoyed the entire session, but it has the added quality of giving me these three amazing tracks that close out the session, and for my first proper session with this application I felt that I did well enough :-)
