a wonderful, almost “circulation”-like feel to this piece, which once again, defies easy categorisation, after a two week break from creating new mixtikl pieces, I wanted something very different – and that is exactly what I got with this piece. it just appeared almost instantly, I found what worked, and...it simply worked.

I also applied what might be the most important mixtikl “rule” of all: stop while you are ahead. instead of adding more – leave it with less. this piece is quite minimal compared to many of my pieces, but it’s still very rewarding, and I love the odd notes and chords that mixtikl constructs on the fly as you play this piece – something slightly different every time. this is where generative music really shows it’s value, on a piece like this, which is both constant yet, ever-changing. I wish I had more like it.

note: I think of this song's title as being pronounced "a sharp" symmetry, as in the musical note, "a sharp", but you are also welcome to think of it as "a sharp symmetry" as in a pointed, not dull, symmetry - that works, too.
