starting out as a sort of “son-of-fogwalking” (“fogwalking” being a wonderful piece of music from peter hammill’s tenth solo album, 1980's “a black box”) basically, a percussive piece, the addition of just a couple of quasi-melodic devices changed the piece forever, and now, the peculiar percussion arrangement is joined with horribly detuned strings,

mostly inaudible, odd pianos, and one strange synthesizer that recurs every other bar. I could never have dreamed this up, but nevertheless, here it is – and again, a new piece of music, for which I have no category – no category whatsoever. I love the percussion, with it’s new view of what stereo should be, and the melodic elements are just strange – but somehow, beautiful – only in mixtikl could you come up with a piece like this. electronic bliss.
